Hellena was born on 24th December 1833 and Christened on the 26th December 1833
at the Roman Catholic Church in Marton in Holderness Yorkshire.

Hellen and was living with her family in West Newton Yorkshire
on the 1851 census Hellen had shorten her name to Ellen and was working as a House
Servant for Mr William Johnson at Winsterad Grange Winstead.

parish church of Catwick

of Beverley
The third child Charles was born on the
3rd December 1856 in Leven in the registration
district of Beverley
The fourth child William Harker Thompson was born in the March Quarter of 1858 in Leven the registration district of Beverley
The fifth child Joseph was born in the March Quarter of 1861 in Sigglesthrone
in the registration district of Skirlaugh.
On the 1861 census the family was living on Hull Road Sigglesthrone.

Ellen dies in the December quarter of 1878 leaving James to cope.
